Michael Olise Leaves His Home in Munich as Real Madrid Rumors Grow
The name Michael Olise has once again become one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window. News that the French star is leaving the home where he has been living in Munich quickly fueled speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
The reality, however, is very different.
According to reports from German newspaper Bild, the change of residence has nothing to do with transfer negotiations. Instead, it is the result of a personal real estate decision involving the property where the Bayern Munich winger currently lives.
The Move Has Nothing to Do With Real Madrid
Over the past several months, Michael Olise has consistently been mentioned as one of the players admired by Real Madrid for the future.
His outstanding performances with France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he broke the record for the most assists in a single edition of the tournament and emerged as one of the leading Ballon d'Or candidates, only intensified the interest surrounding him.
For that reason, when reports surfaced that the French winger was preparing to move out of his home in Munich, many interpreted it as the first sign that he could be leaving Bayern Munich.
However, reports from Germany have completely ruled out that possibility.
Boateng Is Putting the Mansion Up for Sale
The luxury property belongs to former Bayern Munich defender and Germany World Cup winner Jérôme Boateng.
According to Bild, the former German international asked Olise to vacate the residence because he plans to sell the property in the coming weeks.
The mansion, located in the exclusive district of Grünwald, was purchased by Boateng in 2016 for approximately €7.4 million. Today, following the steady appreciation of Munich's luxury real estate market, it is reportedly valued at around €11.5 million.
As a result, Olise will need to find a new home, although he is expected to remain in the city.
Bayern Consider Olise Untouchable
Far from considering a sale, Bayern Munich views the French international as one of the cornerstones of its sporting project.
The German champions believe Michael Olise, still only 24 years old, is one of the club's key players for both the present and the future, especially after his exceptional performances throughout last season and during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Playing for France, the winger showcased his creativity, dribbling ability, and vision, finishing the tournament as its top assist provider. His partnership with Kylian Mbappé became one of the biggest attacking weapons for the team managed by Didier Deschamps, which finished third in the World Cup.
Those performances also prompted Transfermarkt to raise his market value to €170 million, making him one of the four most valuable footballers in the world.
Real Madrid Continue to Monitor the Situation
Although Real Madrid's interest in Olise is genuine and the player remains on the radar of the club's scouting department led by Juni Calafat, any potential transfer appears extremely difficult.
Bayern Munich has no intention of entering negotiations and considers the French winger a strategic piece for competing in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League.
For now, everything suggests that the only change in Michael Olise's life this summer will be his address.
His immediate future remains in Munich, wearing the colors of Bayern Munich, while Real Madrid's interest will have to wait for at least another transfer window
