Pot 2: Lanús, Libertad, Estudiantes, Cerro Porteño, Corinthians, Bolívar, Cruzeiro, Universitario.

Rules and tournament format
Teams are placed according to the CONMEBOL club ranking, with top-ranked teams seeded in Pot 1.
The group stage features 32 teams divided into eight groups of four, playing home-and-away matches.
A key rule is that teams from the same country cannot be drawn into the same group, unless one qualified through preliminary rounds.
