Vlahovic Swaps Turin for Istanbul as He Joins Besiktas
The Serbian striker leaves Juventus after four seasons and signs with Besiktas through 2029.
Dusan Vlahovic has found his new destination. The Serbian striker has joined Besiktas, bringing his four-year spell at Juventus to an end. The 26-year-old forward has signed a three-year contract that will keep him at the Turkish club through the end of the 2028-29 season.
Besiktas confirmed that Vlahovic will receive €7.5 million guaranteed per season, making the move one of the most significant transfers in the Turkish market.
Vlahovic joined Juventus in January 2022 from Fiorentina after establishing himself as one of Serie A's standout strikers. The Turin club invested heavily in his arrival, paying close to €80 million for the forward.
However, his time in Turin came to an end after Vlahovic and Juventus failed to reach an agreement over a contract extension. The Serbian said goodbye to the Italian club with an emotional message on social media.
The Serbia international thanked his teammates, club staff and supporters for everything they shared, while describing Turin as a place that became a home during his career.
"My journey with Juventus comes to an end," Vlahovic wrote, adding that he was leaving with countless memories and the feeling that he had left a part of himself at the club.
Now, a new chapter begins in Turkey. Vlahovic arrives at Besiktas looking to become one of the team's leading attacking figures and rediscover his best form in a new environment.
