Karim Benzema Could Play in the Olympic Games with France
To meet the expectations surrounding his team, Thierry Henry could consider including Karim Benzema as the host of the Olympic Games.
As is customary, the regulations allow for the inclusion of three players over the age of 23 to reinforce the squad; previously, there had been talk of calling up Kylian Mbappé, Antoine Griezmann, and Olivier Giroud, but since it is not considered a FIFA date competition, clubs are not obliged to release their players.
In light of this situation, Benzema could benefit from being away from the highest level of competition in Europe, and his desire has been expressed to L’Equipe.
"Olympics? Why not? Of course, it could be great!," commented the Al-Ittihad forward to the French publication.
It is worth noting that the former Real Madrid player retired from the French national team after the Qatar 2022 final, a tournament in which he was unable to participate.
