During the final matchday of the AFCON Qualifiers, the Mauritania national team defeated Gabon (2-1) to earn three points and qualify for the upcoming edition to be held in Ivory Coast.

Hemeya Tanjy and Aboubakar Kamara scored the home team's goals in the 30th and 42nd minutes, respectively.

The visitors pulled one back with a goal from Didier Ibrahim N'Dong in the 90'+1 minute, thanks to a serious error by the goalkeeper.
