Wuttikrai Outlasts Habibpour, Brazil Downs Petphupa At ONE Friday Fights 168
There was no better way to close out the month than with two heart-racing battles, and ONE Friday Fights 168 delivered exactly that on Friday, August 28. ONE Championship capped the occasion at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium with a hard-fought main event.
Wuttikrai Wor Chakrawut relied on early damage, technique, and composure to outpoint Mohammad "Prince of Persia" Habibpour by unanimous decision in a wild bantamweight Muay Thai main event.
The Thai was patient in the early going, picking his shots and even landing a sharp elbow that opened visible damage on Habibpour's face in the first stanza. Then, in the second round, he mixed in his kicks and knees to take full control of the contest.
It was absolute mayhem in the third and final round, as the “Prince of Persia” – fighting through blood – rocked Wuttikrai with a left hand. He nearly completed a miraculous comeback, forcing the Thai standout to survive a furious onslaught.
Despite the scare, Wuttikrai's early work proved decisive, and all three judges sided with him, pushing his professional record to 52-20.
Brazil Snaps His Skid With A Statement Performance
In the co-main event, Brazil Aekmuangnon ended a two-bout losing streak in dramatic fashion, dropping fellow 20-year-old Petphupa Aekpujean with a perfectly timed elbow in round two en route to a unanimous decision victory.
Petphupa started the flyweight Muay Thai clash fast, using sharp combinations to build an early lead, but his Thai compatriot’s toughness and timing shifted the momentum entirely once the knockdown landed.
Feeling the pressure, Petphupa poured everything into a desperate final-round surge. Brazil, however, hung tough and maintained his composure, riding the early knockdown to a clean sweep on the judges’ scorecards.
With the decision win, he moved his professional record to 48-15.
