Adzic the hero as Sassuolo stuns Juventus
Vasilije Adzic scored with the final kick of the game as Sassuolo beat Juventus 3-2 in a Serie A classic.
Four goals were scored in the space of 12 minutes in the final stages at MAPEI Stadium, as Juve suffered its first league defeat of the season in remarkable fashion.
Nico Gonzalez struck the crossbar early on as Juve started brightly, but the drama all came in the final knockings.
Sassuolo went ahead through Sebastiano Esposito's neat finish in the 65th minute, but Juve substitute Edon Zhegrova kept his composure to level in the 82nd.
That goal, however, sparked a frantic finale.
First, Darryl Bakola nipped onto a loose ball, charged forward and teed up Kieron Bowie to restore Sassuolo's lead in the 89th minute, after Juve had squandered a couple of chances at the other end.
Another fine Zhegrova finish seemed to have settled matters in the 91st minute, but there was time for one more twist.
Adzic, who is on loan from Juve, found himself in acres of space in the Bianconeri's box, and duly curled a sumptuous finish into the top-right corner to send the home fans into raptures.
