Ferran nets hat-trick in PSG Champions League rout

Ousmane Dembele starred at the Parc des Princes as well with two goals and two assists, while Fabian Ruiz was also on target late on to hand Luis Enrique's side a much-needed win.

Dro Fernandez almost rewarded PSG's fast start after three minutes, but he saw his effort repelled by the onrushing Dominik Takac, though Slovan's resistance did not last long.

Nuno Mendes's thunderous effort from distance clattered against the right post, but Dembele was on hand to tuck home the rebound to give the host side a 17th-minute lead. 

Dembele then flicked narrowly wide, but the Frenchman was not to be denied as he doubled PSG's lead six minutes later when he nodded in Fernandez's deflected shot at the back post to ruthlessly punish Sahmkou Camara's loose pass. 

Luis Enrique's side pulled further clear in the 31st minute when Ferran poked home from close range, and Dembele almost claimed a first-half hat-trick, only to see his attempt from inside the six-yard box saved onto the crossbar by Takac. 

PSG tightened its grip on the contest two minutes after the break through Ferran, who curled in from just outside the box after a sensational run from Maghnes Akliouche. 

Ferran completed his hat-trick soon after when he instinctively turned Dembele's quick corner into the net, only for Slovan to get themselves on the board after Suleiman Camara skipped past Illia Zabarnyi before picking out the top-right corner. 

Mika Godts then fired wide as PSG looked to add further gloss to the scoreline, with fellow substitute Senny Mayulu forcing two quick-fire saves from visiting goalkeeper Takac.

There was to be one final goal for the Champions League holder three minutes from time. A short corner from Godts saw Fernandez slipped in, with his cross cleared only as far as Fabian, who finished first time into the bottom-left corner.
