RB Leipzig extends Gruda loan deal
RB Leipzig extended the loan deal for Brajan Gruda from Brighton through to the end of the 2026-2027 season.
Gruda spent the second half of the 2025-2026 campaign with the Bundesliga side, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.
He helped Leipzig finish third in the league last season, securing Champions League football, while it was knocked out in the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal by eventual winner Bayern Munich.
Gruda revealed it was an easy decision to continue with Leipzig after his stint with the club last season.
"It quickly became clear to me that I wanted to stay at RB Leipzig," the 22 year-old told the club website.
"I was determined to make the move last winter and my first few months here lived up to everything I had hoped for.
"The style of play suits me really well and I feel completely at home within the team and at the club.
"RB Leipzig gives me the best possible environment to continue developing both as a player and as a person, while also helping the team again from the outset.
"We qualified for the Champions League together and now we want to enjoy a successful season in Europe, the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal."
Leipzig will face Trier in the DFB-Pokal to start its competitive season, while it hosts Borussia Monchengladbach in its first Bundesliga game of the 2026-2027 campaign.
