Leipzig's Nusa denies transfer request rumours
Antonio Nusa denied rumours suggesting he has handed in a transfer request at RB Leipzig.
The 21 year-old joined Leipzig from Club Brugge in August 2024 and has gone on to score 10 goals and provide 10 assists in 71 games.
Nusa, who also scored for Norway at the World Cup, has been linked with a move away from Leipzig this summer, with Roma reportedly interested in the winger.
However, he player claimed he has had no discussions with Leipzig around a potential exit in this transfer window.
"I never made any request to leave Leipzig," Nusa said. "Rumours are always rumours, and they can write whatever they want. But I鈥檝e just been relaxing on vacation, and now I鈥檓 here."
Nusa still has three years left on his current Leipzig deal, and will have more pressure to perform after Diomande's move to Real Madrid.
Leipzig begins its 2026-2027 Bundesliga campaign on 29 August against Borussia Monchengladbach, though its first competitive game comes a week earlier against Trier in the DFB-Pokal.
