Barcelona attacker Neymar was involved in a spat with a Manchester City fan in the closing stages of his side's 2-1 Champions League win at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.
The Brazilian attacker was substituted after 80 minutes in the first leg of the last-16 tie and was initially involved in a verbal exchange with a group of fans near the front row.
As soon as the final whistle was blown, footage filmed from a supporter's camera shows the Barca starlet leaving his side's bench and walking over to confront one particular fan, a young male who was speaking Portuguese and wearing a City jersey with Yaya Toure's name and number on the back.
The pair exchanged words for a few seconds, with the fan appearing to be accusing the visibly angry Camp Nou star of diving, before a steward was forced to intervene, telling them to "stop it".
The confrontation did not become violent and Neymar then turned away and headed back down the tunnel with the rest of his team-mates.
Afterwards, the 23-year-old told Brazilian reporters in the mixed zone: "He provoked me so I answered back. I can't tell you what he said because, unlike his, my mother educated me."
In the match itself, two first-half strikes from Luis Suarez had the visitors in command before Sergio Aguero got a goal back after the break.
Gael Clichy was sent off in the closing stages for the hosts and the tie looked like it was all but over when Lionel Messi won a penalty in stoppage-time, but the Argentine's effort from 12 yards was dramatically saved by Joe Hart.
