Louis Saha: Mbappe staying at PSG a “no brainer”
LOUIS SAHA
France, 2004-12
"It's difficult to understand [Kylian Mbappe wanting to leave PSG], because it seems to be a “no brainer”, as they say in English. When you say [Lionel] Messi is coming, that's what [Mbappe] had asked for, more or less, in terms of transfers. That they are competitive and so on. So you can see, immediately egos interfere. I am not necessarily talking about the player here, but several parties. It clouds things which for a normal audience would seem quite normal, quite logical. It's true that sometimes there are aspects that are complicated and that we don't understand, whether it comes from agents, family, friends, sponsors. In short, you can imagine what happened from what was said before - all these are elements that are disruptive. I don't know him personally, but it doesn't seem to prevent him from being not only a very talented young player, but someone who is able to analyze a situation. Afterwards, he has this strength, this shield. He lets people speak, as they say, and he knows where he wants to go. And that's to his credit."
