Isco Bemoans Lack of Playing Time Under Zidane
The Real Madrid midfielder was heard complaining to Marcelo about his lack of playing time under Zinedine Zidane during El Clasico.
Not all of Real Madrid's players were in celebratory mood after Saturday's 3-1 win over Barcelona.
Isco was caught on camera during El Clasico complaining to Marcelo about his lack of playing time under coach Zinedine Zidane.
“If he has to take me off, he takes me off in the 50th or 60th minute of the game. Sometimes even at half-time,” the Spaniard was heard telling his teammate on Movistar+’s ‘El Partidazo’ program. “If he has to put me on, he’ll do it in the 80th minute.”
Isco has become an increasingly peripheral figure under Zidane, racking up a paltry 147 minutes of playing time so far this season.
After being left out of Madrid's squad for their shock 3-2 Champions League defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk last week, the Spaniard was an unused substitute at Camp Nou.
