Eden Hazard believes that a victory in the Europa League final on Wednesday will define Chelsea's first season under Maurizio Sarri. The Belgian winger admitted it was a transitional season at Stamford Bridge but was quick to praise the style of play introduced by the Italian coach.
"It's hard to talk about my level personally, what I can say about Chelsea is that we did not a perfect season but I think we improved a lot."
"When a new manager is coming it's always hard to start well, but the way we are playing now is the way I want Chelsea to play, I think it's the way the players want Chelsea to play."
Hazard who spoke with beIN SPORTS ahead of the Europa League against Baku revealed that a win for the Blues on Wednesday would make it a good season for his side, especially after their return to Champions League football.
"For me, we reached the top four for the Champions League, we reached the final in the league cup and the final of the Europa League if we win it's going to be a good season. I think that the level of Chelsea is very good, but we still can improve."
Rumours are rife that Hazard will trade Chelsea for Real Madrid in the summer, however the 28-year old remained tightlipped when pressed on his own future, adding that he is happy to play in any position for his side.
"I want to enjoy football, play many games as I can and then bring the smile to the face of the fans that's why I am playing."
"I just want to play on the pitch to be fair, Left winger, number 10, number 9, I just try to do my best in any position."
