<p><strong>FIFA</strong> confirmed on Friday that it has officially received bids from the <strong>United States</strong> and the <strong>United Kingdom</strong> to host the 2031 and 2035 editions of the <strong>FIFA Women’s World Cup</strong>, respectively. Both submissions will now undergo a thorough review process before a final decision is announced.</p>
<p>For the 2031 tournament, the <strong>U.S. Soccer Federation</strong> has expressed interest in leading a joint bid with other <strong>Concacaf</strong> member associations, though the participating countries have not yet been disclosed. The official announcement is expected in the second half of 2026 after all evaluations and presentations are complete.</p>
<p>The 2035 edition is backed by the football federations of <strong>England</strong>, <strong>Scotland</strong>, <strong>Wales</strong>, and <strong>Northern Ireland</strong>, forming a unified UK bid for the global event.</p>

<p>Although <strong>Rafael Louzán</strong>, president of the <strong>Royal Spanish Football Federation</strong>, had recently mentioned Spain’s desire to host the tournament, the country ultimately decided not to submit a bid for 2035. Instead, Spain is preparing a joint candidacy for the 2039 edition alongside <strong>Portugal</strong> and <strong>Morocco</strong>.</p>
<p>In an official statement, <strong>FIFA</strong> said it will enter discussions with the U.S. and UK federations to “ensure the bids are comprehensive and meet all minimum organizational requirements.” Key focus areas will include infrastructure, vision, commercial aspects, sustainability, and human rights.</p>
<p>If selected, the <strong>United States</strong> would return as host for the first time since 2003, following its successful organization of the tournament in 1999 and 2003. The bid is seen as a strong contender, reflecting the continued growth of women's soccer in North America.</p>
