Edin Dzeko's final appearance for Bosnia-Herzegovina ended in a 1-1 draw with Sweden in the Nations League.
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-1 Sweden: Gyokeres dampens Dzeko's farewell party
Viktor Gyokeres scored once again for Sweden, who drew 1-1 with Bosnia-Herzegovina in what was Edin Dzeko's final international appearance.
Kerim Alajbegovic's 80th-minute equaliser ensured Dzeko would not bow out with a defeat after Viktor Gyokeres gave Sweden the lead just after the hour at Stadion Bilino Polje.
Sweden started on the front foot as Gyokeres' low drive towards the bottom-left corner was kept out by Salko Hamzic, and the Arsenal striker then saw a goal ruled out in the 17th minute by VAR after the ball touched his arm before he scored.
The home fans erupted when Dzeko found the back of the net before half-time, but his goal was also chalked off as the ball had gone out of play in the build-up.
Graham Potter's side then scored with their first shot of the second half after Alexander Bernhardsson regained possession and played Gyokeres through on goal, with the forward lashing into the roof of the net.
Bernhardsson, Gyokeres and Besfort Zeneli all missed chances to double Sweden's lead, and it proved costly as Alajbegovic's in-swinging cross evaded all the players in the box and nestled into the far corner.
Gyokeres oozing confidence in Sweden shirt
Gyokeres entered the international break low on confidence after a poor start to the season with Arsenal, but the 28-year-old is in exceptional form for Sweden, providing the goods again in Alexander Isak's absence.
Gyokeres has scored in all three games during this international break, seeing him become the first-ever player to score in six consecutive Nations League matches, with Potter's side still top of Group B4 after three games.
Bosnia, meanwhile, paid farewell to one of their greatest players. Dzeko exited the pitch to a guard of honour from his Bosnia team-mates, though he would have loved to leave with one last goal to his name.
Dzeko bows out as Bosnia's all-time leading appearance maker (152) and top scorer (73), though this game could signify a change in guard, with 19-year-old Juventus forward Alajbegovic scoring an important goal.
