PSG will travel to Stamford Bridge with a strong advantage, but fully aware of the unpredictability of knockout football. “We’ve only played the first match, there’s still another one to go. Second legs are always different,” Luis Enrique stated.
He emphasized that Chelsea, facing elimination, will approach the match with greater urgency and intensity. “These are very difficult games, but we are prepared. We will have to manage moments of weakness,” he explained, stressing the importance of focus throughout the match.
Luis Enrique also pointed to other ties that appear to be nearly decided, including those involving Atlético de Madrid, Real Madrid, and Bodø/Glimt. Still, he warned that football often delivers unexpected outcomes.
As a reminder, he referenced last season’s clash with Aston Villa, when PSG nearly suffered a comeback after holding a strong position.
The coach also praised the level of Premier League teams and showed respect for Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior. With Fabián Ruiz unavailable, PSG will aim to finish the job professionally while avoiding any sense of complacency.
