Ferran Torres reacts to PSG hat-trick: “It's easy to play with these types of players”

Ferran Torres could hardly have asked for a better European debut with PSG. The Spaniard scored a hat-trick, earned MVP honors and, after the 6-1 victory over Slovan Bratislava, highlighted how comfortable he already feels in Paris: “It's easy to play with these types of players.”

The forward, who scored the goal that gave Spain its second World Cup title on July 19, admitted that even he did not expect to produce such an impressive Champions League debut for his new club.

Ferran spoke to Canal+ after emerging as one of the standout players of the match.

“I'm having very good feelings. It's easy to play with these types of players,” the Spaniard said about his adaptation to PSG.

He also explained the mindset behind his strong start.

“What I try to do is be happy off the pitch and on it,” Ferran said.

The forward admitted he did not expect such an impressive European debut and was pleased that PSG started the match with “the right intensity.”

The result reflected that dominance: a 6-1 victory and three goals for Ferran, who was also named Player of the Match.

Ferran isn't thinking about Manchester City and Barcelona yet

The Champions League now has two particularly special games in store for him.

PSG's next opponents are Ferran's two most recent former clubs: the Parisian side will first visit Manchester City before hosting Barcelona at the Parc des Princes.

The Spaniard, however, refused to look too far ahead after his hat-trick.

“They're two very strong teams, but now we have to focus on Ligue 1 because we didn't start it well,” he said.
