Dortmund 'disappointed and annoyed' by Bodo/Glimt draw, says Kovac
Borussia Dortmund missed the chance to climb back into the Champions League's top eight, after they were pegged back twice by Bodo/Glimt.
Niko Kovac was left "disappointed and annoyed" following Borussia Dortmund's 2-2 draw with Bodo/Glimt.
Dortmund missed the chance to climb back into the top eight, after they were twice pegged back in the Champions League clash at Signal Iduna Park.
Julian Brandt scored in both halves for the hosts, but saw his strikes cancelled out by Haitam Aleesami and Jens Petter Hauge respectively.
The result leaves Dortmund 10th in the league-phase table, a point shy of Atletico Madrid in eighth, and Kovac knows his side missed an opportunity.
"We are disappointed and annoyed," he said. "We failed twice to extend our lead and decide the game.
"We weren't very clever when it came to the goals we conceded, which is why [this game] is very unfortunate from our point of view."
Brandt's brace came in the 500th appearance of his club career, but the midfielder was left frustrated by the result.
"Right now, I'm mainly disappointed," he added. "We dropped two very important points. I'm annoyed that we didn't make the most of our chances. We had to win this game."
Felix Nmecha concurred: "We need to make better use of our chances, defend more intelligently, and come away from this game with the three points."
