PSG is not in a Hurry with Kvaratskhelia: "There is no magic formula"
Luis Enrique analyzed the adaptation process of the new PSG star before facing Brest in Champions.
The narrow victory against Toulouse (1-0) in Ligue 1 showed that, although Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has displayed glimpses of his talent, he still needs time to fully adapt to his new team, PSG. Despite his great potential, the Georgian winger, who joined the Parisian club this winter, is still in the process of physical and tactical adaptation. After a long period without playing, nearly a month before signing for Paris Saint-Germain, Kvaratskhelia is still looking for his best form on the field.

Luis Enrique's patience in the adaptation process
Luis Enrique, the PSG coach, was clear about this in a recent press conference: "It’s clear he needs adaptation time." This comment reflects the reality of many signings who, upon joining an elite team, have to adjust to a new style of play and a completely different environment. In this case, Kvaratskhelia is in a transitional phase where integration with both his teammates and PSG’s playing system is key.
Kvaratskhelia's talent is unquestionable, as demonstrated by his flawless ball control, but he still needs to improve his understanding of his teammates’ movements. This will become more evident as the matches progress, especially once he better understands Luis Enrique's tactical intentions. As the Asturian coach points out, many of his previous players also took months to adapt to PSG's style of play, so patience will be crucial in Kvaratskhelia's integration process.
The challenges of Kvaratskhelia
In addition to the tactical challenges, the change of country, language, and culture is an important factor in the adaptation of any foreign player. Luis Enrique emphasized this point in his press conference, mentioning that "all of that takes time." Despite these challenges, the coach expressed satisfaction with Kvaratskhelia's behavior and attitude, highlighting that his signing is a long-term investment. "We’re not in a hurry," said the coach, stressing that the adaptation process is natural and necessary for the player to reach his full potential at PSG.
With PSG undefeated since the start of the year, with 11 wins and one draw, Kvaratskhelia has the opportunity to showcase his skills in a team in great form. Whether starting or coming off the bench, Parc des Princes will be the perfect stage for the Georgian to continue his acclimatization. As the matches progress, it is expected that the winger will find his best version, which will further benefit an unstoppable PSG in all competitions.
