Barcelona Name Squad to Face Napoli
The return of Uruguayan center-back Ronald Araujo, who couldn't play the last LaLiga match against Mallorca due to suspension, is the main news in Barcelona's squad for their match against Napoli on Tuesday (21:00 CET) in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16.
Araujo replaces the young reserve defender Mika Faye in the squad, while there is still no appearance from full-back Marcos Alonso, who is in the final stages of his recovery from a lumbar injury that has kept him sidelined for almost four months.
The other change in the Barcelona squad list is in the third goalkeeper position, which is now filled by Ander Astralaga instead of Diego Kochen.
Defender Alejandro Balde, midfielders Pablo Paéz Gavira 'Gavi', Frenkie de Jong, Pedro González 'Pedri', and forward Ferran Torres remain sidelined due to injury.
In total, Xavi has called up 22 players to face the Italian side at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys:
Goalkeepers: Ter Stegen, Iñaki Peña, Astralaga.
Defenders: Araujo, Iñigo Martínez, Christensen, Cubarsí, Kounde, Joao Cancelo, Héctor Fort.
Midfielders: Romeu, Sergi Roberto, Fermín, Gündogan, Casadó, Unai.
Forwards: Joao Félix, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Lewandowski, Marc Guiu, and Vitor Roque.
