Besiktas Plot Blockbuster Move to Sign Antony From Real Betis
The Brazilian is back in the transfer spotlight after rediscovering his best form during his time in Spain.
Antony could be on the move again before the summer transfer window closes. Besiktas have set their sights on the Real Betis winger and are reportedly prepared to make a significant push to bring the Brazilian to Istanbul.
According to Turkish newspaper Fanatik, the Istanbul club have identified the former Manchester United player as one of their main targets after missing out on Mohamed Salah, who ultimately opted to join Trabzonspor.
Besiktas are looking to significantly strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season and believe Antony could provide experience and creativity on the wing. His arrival would represent one of the club's biggest moves of the summer.
Antony Rediscovered His Best Form at Real Betis
Besiktas' interest comes after a season in which Antony recaptured much of the form that once made him one of Europe's most highly rated wingers.
The Brazilian finished last season with 14 goals and 10 assists across all competitions, numbers that confirmed his resurgence in Spain and attracted attention from other clubs.
Real Betis permanently signed Antony last year for approximately €22 million following his difficult spell at Manchester United. Despite his impressive performances, the Spanish club are reportedly willing to consider a sale if they receive a suitable offer.

From Manchester United's €95 Million Deal to His Revival in Spain
Antony's career changed dramatically in 2022 when Manchester United paid Ajax at least €95 million to bring him to Old Trafford.
Expectations were enormous, but the Brazilian struggled to establish himself consistently in England. After an underwhelming spell and a subsequent loan move, Spain provided him with the opportunity to rebuild his career.
His performances for Betis have put his name firmly back on the European transfer radar, and another major move could now be on the horizon just a year after making his switch to the Spanish club permanent.
Besiktas Face Competition for Antony
Convincing Real Betis to sell will not be Besiktas' only challenge. Antony's performances have reportedly attracted interest from several clubs across Europe's top five leagues.
The Brazilian's current market value is estimated at around €40 million, while his contract with Betis runs until 2030. Both factors put the Spanish club in a strong negotiating position.
Besiktas, however, are reportedly prepared to explore different options in an attempt to complete a deal that would make Antony one of the most notable additions to the Süper Lig this summer.
Antony Could Reunite With a Former Ajax Teammate
A move to Istanbul could also reunite Antony with Václav Černý, his former Ajax teammate.
The two could compete for minutes on the right wing as Besiktas look to add further depth and quality to their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
The coming days could prove decisive as Besiktas determine how far they are willing to go and Real Betis consider their position. After rebuilding his career in Spain, Antony could soon find himself at the center of another major transfer.
