Besiktas kicked off their Super Lig campaign with a notable 0-1 away victory over Fatih Karagumruk.

 The match saw an eventful second half, as Vincent Aboubakar was brought down by the Karagumruk defense, resulting in a penalty opportunity. However, Besiktas faced disappointment as the Karagumruk goalkeeper, Matias Dituro, made a crucial save to deny the goal. 

It was Gedson Fernandes who made the difference, finding the back of the net in the 85th minute with an incredible strike assisted by Onur Bulut. Fernandes' goal sealed the definitive 0-1 victory for Besiktas.
