Beşiktaş confirmed its strong Süper Lig form with a 3-0 victory over Erzurumspor. Emirhan Topçu opened the scoring with a header, Leandro Trossard celebrated his first goal for the Eagles and a brilliant team move ended with Yakup Kırtay turning the ball into his own net to seal the win.

The Istanbul side built its advantage during the first half, had another goal ruled out by VAR and eventually turned its dominance into a convincing victory late in the game.


Emirhan Topçu strikes before Trossard celebrates his first goal

Beşiktaş broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, when Emirhan Topçu rose above the defense and headed home to put the Eagles ahead.

The second followed just six minutes later.

Hyeon-gyu Oh set up Leandro Trossard, who found the net in the 27th minute to celebrate his first goal of the season and his first for Beşiktaş.


The celebration also produced a memorable moment, with Oh attempting to imitate Trossard's trademark celebration by putting his hands around his eyes like a pair of binoculars.

Beşiktaş could have added another before halftime, but the Erzurumspor goalkeeper stepped up to prevent a third.



Beşiktaş keeps pushing until the third arrives

The Eagles found the net again during the second half, but VAR intervened and ruled the goal out.

Beşiktaş continued searching for a third and finally got it in the 81st minute.

A brilliant team move ended with Yakup Kırtay accidentally turning the ball into his own net, making it 3-0.
