Vlahovic: Juventus players must look at themselves after Tudor's dismissal
Dusan Vlahovic scored as Juventus snapped an eight-game winless streak that ultimately cost Igor Tudor his position as head coach.
Juventus' squad must take collective responsibility for Igor Tudor's dismissal, according to Dusan Vlahovic.
Tudor was sacked on Monday on the back of an eight-game winless streak across all competitions.
The Croatian was only appointed in March, succeeding Thiago Motta, who had only taken over at the start of the 2024-25 season.
Juve, who are expected to appoint Luciano Spalletti as their new coach, returned to winning ways under the guidance of interim boss Massimo Brambilla on Wednesday, beating Udinese 3-1 in Serie A.
Vlahovic scored a fifth-minute penalty, and he says it is time for Juve's players to accept responsibility for the club's coaching merry-go-round in recent seasons.
"We've changed three coaches in one and a half years. We need to look at ourselves in the mirror and see what we are doing wrong," Vlahovic said, as reported by Football Italia.
"I don’t think it’s right to only blame one person. The responsibility lies with everyone.
"We needed to send a signal and we did, but if we don’t keep doing it in the next matches, it means nothing. We need to talk less and do more.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank coach Tudor for what he’s done, for what he represents for Juventus, and to wish him the best of luck."
Vlahovic is Juve's leading scorer this season, with five goals to his name in 12 appearances.
The Serbia international was heavily linked with a move away from Juve in the summer, and his contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign.
When asked about his future, Vlahovic said: "I don’t know what might happen, never say never, but I really don’t know.
"I’m focused on the present. Talking about it now doesn’t make sense given the situation we’re in.
"We need to talk less and do more; we need to get back to performing better and winning. That’s where my focus is.
"It’s been a tough few days, but we stayed focused."
