Kessie backs himself as 'great signing' for Juventus
Franck Kessie is set to be a free agent this summer after running down his contract at Al-Ahli, with Juventus said to be interested.
Franck Kessie believes he "would be a great signing" for any team this summer, after also admitting he saw rumours linking him to Juventus.
The 29-year-old will be a free agent this summer as his contract with Al-Ahli expires at the end of this month, three seasons after joining the Saudi Pro League side.
Kessie is heavily linked with a move to Juve, and the midfielder already has plenty of experience in Serie A.
After an impressive campaign with Atalanta in 2016-17, Kessie spent the following five seasons with AC Milan, helping the Rossoneri win the Scudetto in 2021-22.
Overall, Kessie has made 204 appearances in the Italian top-flight, scoring 41 goals and providing 13 assists.
Kessie, who is currently representing Ivory Coast at the World Cup, believes signing him on a free transfer would be a no-brainer.
"I did see the talk about Juventus," Kessie told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I am focused only on the World Cup, but I will just say one thing: I would be a great signing. I鈥檓 in good shape, I鈥檓 playing at the World Cup, and above all I am a free agent, so what more could you ask for?
"This is why so many clubs want me, and they are right! But for another five days, I am still a player of Al-Ahli. After the Round of 16, we鈥檒l meet up and I can tell you something else.
"My agent is working on it, we鈥檙e receiving a lot of calls, and that鈥檚 to be expected. I too would sign me at these conditions, both physically and financially."
Juventus finished sixth in Serie A last season, missing out on the Champions League places after dropping points in four of their last five games (D3 L1).
They will start the 2026-27 campaign on the road against newly promoted Frosinone.
