Arne Slot insists he wants to coach "every day" as he refuted the suggestion he could step into international management.

Slot became just the seventh boss in Premier League history to win the title in his first season in the competition when he led Liverpool to glory in 2024-25.

However, the Dutchman endured a difficult second season at Anfield, and he was dismissed at the end of the campaign.

Slot was heavily linked with the vacant Netherlands job, with Ronald Koeman having stepped down following the Oranje's World Cup exit.

But the former Feyenoord coach is not ready to step away from club football just yet.

"At this stage of my career, I prefer to see myself on the training pitch with my players every day," Slot told Voetbal International.

"Something that is simply not possible in the same way with a national team."

Slot, however, did not fully close the door to taking charge of the Netherlands down the line.

He added: "It would be a great honour to represent my country as national coach one day. However, this was not the right moment for me."

Slot left Liverpool having recorded a 58.4% win ratio, winning 66 of his 113 games in charge.
