Real Madrid Closely Monitoring Tonali
Newcastle’s Italian midfielder has become one of the most sought-after names in the transfer market. Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester City are reportedly watching a potential deal worth close to £100 million.
Real Madrid continues to explore the international transfer market in search of midfield reinforcements, and one of the names that has caught the club’s attention is Sandro Tonali. The current Newcastle United midfielder could become one of the major stories of the upcoming transfer window, with a potential deal estimated to be worth around £100 million.
According to several reports, scouts from the Spanish giants were present at St James' Park during the FA Cup match in which Newcastle suffered a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City. Although the primary mission was to analyze the team coached by Pep Guardiola ahead of a potential European clash, Tonali’s performance was also high on their scouting agenda.
The 25-year-old midfielder has established himself as a key figure for the English side since joining from AC Milan. His ability to control the tempo of matches, recover possession, and distribute the ball has made him one of the most highly rated midfielders in the Premier League.
Interest in the Italian international is not limited to the Spanish club. Teams such as Arsenal FC and Manchester City are also closely monitoring his development, which could spark an intense bidding battle this summer. However, Newcastle is not eager to lose another star player after recently selling Alexander Isak for a British-record fee of around £130 million to Liverpool FC.
Tonali is under contract with Newcastle until 2030 and reportedly earns around £150,000 per week. His personal life is also stable following the birth of his son, Leonardo, earlier this year. Even so, the chance to become part of a new galáctico project at the Santiago Bernabéu could prove difficult for the talented Italian midfielder to resist.
