Savinho Joins Tottenham in €100 Million Transfer

  • Tottenham Hotspur have officially completed the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City in a deal worth up to €100 million. The 22-year-old is looking to revive his career in London after two seasons with limited opportunities in Manchester.

Tottenham Hotspur have completed one of their biggest signings ahead of the 2026-27 season. The London club reached an agreement with Manchester City for Brazilian international Savinho, in a deal worth €87 million in guaranteed payments plus another €13 million in add-ons.

The transfer makes the 22-year-old one of Tottenham's major investments this summer as the club looks to improve its performances and return to regular European competition.

With Savinho's arrival, Tottenham have reportedly spent around €330 million during the current transfer window. Their spending could rise further with the expected arrival of Omar Marmoush, also from Manchester City, in a deal worth around €70 million.

The London side have also signed Matheus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali and Jan Paul Van Hecke, highlighting their ambition to rebuild the squad following two disappointing seasons.

For Savinho, the move represents an opportunity to rediscover the form and confidence he showed during his loan spell at Girona. His two seasons at Manchester City were less successful, with the Brazilian making 53 appearances, scoring just two goals and providing 11 assists.

The winger had already been close to joining Tottenham last summer. At the time, Manchester City rejected an offer of around €60 million, but the deal has now been completed for a considerably higher fee.

The transfer also represents a major financial success for Manchester City. Just two years after the club paid approximately €40 million to Troyes, another member of the City Football Group, for the player's rights, City will now receive €87 million in guaranteed fees from his sale.

The move also becomes the biggest sale in Manchester City's history, surpassing the transfer of Julián Álvarez to Atlético Madrid in 2024, which was worth an estimated €75 million plus €20 million in potential bonuses.

Now, Savinho begins a new chapter in London with the opportunity to demonstrate the potential he showed at Girona and become one of the key players in Tottenham's new project.
