Liverpool Push for Allan as Salah’s Successor
Liverpool are on the verge of completing the signing of Allan Andrade Elias for £30 million. The young Palmeiras attacker is expected to become Mohamed Salah’s long-term replacement starting in the 2026–27 season.
Liverpool FC have once again emerged as one of the biggest movers in the transfer market following last summer’s massive spending spree, which saw European stars such as Alexander Isak (Newcastle), Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen) and Hugo Ekitiké (Eintracht) arrive at Anfield. In total, the Reds invested around £450 million, and now they are looking to strike again by moving ahead of other clubs in the race for Palmeiras’ rising star.
According to reports from Brazil, Liverpool have been closely monitoring Allan Andrade Elias, a 21-year-old left-footed attacker who plays alongside Vitor Roque and is following in the footsteps of Estêvão Willian, now at Chelsea. Arne Slot’s side have reportedly traveled to Brazil several times to negotiate with Palmeiras, and the deal is said to be close to completion for a fee of around £30 million. The transfer would become official in the summer, with the player set to join Anfield for the 2026–27 season.
So far this campaign, Allan has scored two goals in ten appearances. Beyond the numbers, he stands out for his vision, one-on-one ability, and pace with the ball at his feet. Liverpool are preparing for a possible departure of Mohamed Salah this summer and appear to have identified Allan as a long-term replacement capable of taking over the right wing from day one.
Allan first caught global attention last season, particularly during the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, where Palmeiras reached the quarterfinals before being eliminated by Chelsea FC, who went on to defeat Paris Saint-Germain in the final to lift the trophy.
