Cesc Fabregas insisted he is in no rush to coach a team in the Premier League following advice he received from Jose Mourinho.

Fabregas is enjoying a strong campaign with Como, who are three points off the Champions League places in fifth with three games to go in Serie A, though they could drop to sixth if Roma beat Fiorentina on Monday.

After winning promotion to the Italian top-flight, Fabregas has won 30 of his 73 Serie A games (D21 L22) and seen his side score 108 goals in those matches.

Como have taken a step forward this term; they have conceded the fewest goals in Serie A so far in 2025-26 (28).

Fabregas' impressive work with Como has caught the eye of Premier League teams, with managerless Chelsea reportedly interested in their former player.

Rumours have also emerged suggesting the Spaniard is waiting for a role at another of his former sides, Arsenal.

Despite reiterating his admiration for the Premier League, Fabregas revealed how advice from his former Chelsea boss Mourinho means he is not in a hurry to return to England.

"The Premier League is the best league in the world," Fabregas told Telegraph Sport.

"I've always been very, very clear about it. I felt it as a player, I feel it as a coach, as a fan.

"But [Jose] Mourinho told me one day when I was at Chelsea, 'I still have 30 years to work'. So I could be here for 10 years, and you can still go to the Premier League in 12, 15 years.

"Football is so unpredictable; it changes in one second. One day, you are the best. The day after, you are the worst.

"So let's enjoy the moment. I like to enjoy the moment. It’s beautiful what we are living here. Let's see what the future holds."
