Arsenal has reportedly shifted its focus toward Ferran Torres as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options before the end of the summer transfer window.
According to CaughtOffside, the Gunners are exploring a move for the Barcelona forward after seeing several high-profile targets slip away. Vinícius Jr. recently committed his future to Real Madrid through 2032, Bradley Barcola is reportedly leaning toward Liverpool, and Morgan Rogers has joined Chelsea.
Journalist Mark Brus reports that Arsenal has already contacted Torres' representatives to stay informed about any developments regarding the Spain international's future.
"Two separate sources told me Arsenal have also been in touch with orres' representatives to be kept informed of his movements this summer," Brus wrote.
Torres is a familiar player to Arteta from their time together at Manchester City, and his ability to play on either wing or through the middle makes him an attractive option for the Arsenal manager.
The 26-year-old has also fueled speculation by suggesting that Barcelona must show they truly want him to stay.
"Barça have to show they want me. They can come and negotiate, and everything can be discussed," Torres recently said.
Although there is no formal agreement between Arsenal and Barcelona at this stage, the Premier League club is expected to continue monitoring the situation closely as the transfer window enters its final weeks.
