Alejandro Garnacho's Future Appears To Be Away From Chelsea
Alejandro Garnacho's future appears to be moving further away from Chelsea. After a season with limited playing time and an inability to establish himself as a regular starter, the winger looks increasingly likely to leave the club during the current transfer window.
Just one year after joining Chelsea, the outlook for Alejandro Garnacho has changed dramatically. The Argentine-born winger failed to cement his place in the London club's project, and all signs point to his time at Stamford Bridge coming to an end during this summer's transfer window.
The attacker arrived from Manchester United in a deal worth more than €40 million, with expectations of becoming a key figure in Chelsea's attack. However, things did not unfold as planned, as his playing time remained limited and he was unable to earn a consistent place in the starting lineup.
A Season Defined by Limited Opportunities
Throughout the campaign, Garnacho logged just over 2,000 minutes across 43 appearances, numbers that reflected the limited trust placed in him by the coaching staff. In many matches, he was used only as a substitute, while full-game appearances were few and far between.

One of the clearest examples of his reduced role came during Chelsea's UEFA Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain, when then-head coach Liam Rosenior called him over only to deliver tactical instructions intended for another teammate, without sending him onto the field. The incident sparked plenty of discussion and highlighted his secondary role within the squad.
Xabi Alonso Opens the Door to a Departure
The arrival of Xabi Alonso as Chelsea's new head coach has done little to change the situation. At the start of preseason, the Spanish manager acknowledged that several clubs have expressed interest in signing Garnacho, adding that he hopes the situation is resolved in the best possible way for everyone involved.
Those comments have only strengthened speculation that the young winger could be on his way out, as he looks for a club where he can regain regular playing time and continue his development.
