The Mexican Gem who is Already Training with Manchester City First Team
The Mexican talent Álex Alcalá Solorio has been juggling training sessions with Manchester City's reserve team and the first team since signing with the 'Sky Blues' in the last winter transfer window.
Pep Guardiola, City's manager, confirmed that Alcalá is training 'occasionally' with the first team and it's common for academy players to do so.
"For them, it's crucial to be with the adults to test themselves and improve," Guardiola said during a press conference on Tuesday.
Alcalá joined City this winter from LA Galaxy. The 'Sky Blues' reached an agreement with the American club in 2020 to bring in the forward once he turned 18.
"There are no words that can do justice to how I feel right now," Alcalá said at his presentation with City. "I've dreamed of this moment for a long time, as far back as I can remember. This is just the beginning, and I hope I can continue to make everyone proud."
The Mexican has featured in four games for City's U18 team since his arrival in January, always as a substitute, scoring one goal.
