Mohamed Salah is Back After his Injury at AFCON 2023
Egyptian Mohamed Salah, from Liverpool, will be back this Saturday to face Brentford, after a month and a half out due to a muscle injury.
The forward injured his hamstring during the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt and has missed the last eight Liverpool matches; four in the Premier League, two in the FA Cup, and two in the League Cup.
"Mo is training normally, so he's automatically back in the squad," said Jürgen Klopp on Friday.
Liverpool will face Brentford this Saturday (12:30 England time) in what will be their last match before playing against Chelsea in the League Cup final on Sunday, February 25.
The Reds will regain Alisson Becker, who is now ready after missing the last game due to flu, Ibrahima Konaté after suspension, Joe Gomez, also recovering from illness, and Conor Bradley, who recently lost his father.
Klopp won't be able to count on Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is injured in the knee, and Dominik Szoboszlai, who has a hamstring problem.
