André Onana, goalkeeper of Manchester United, has been called up by Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches, nine months after his federation suspended him due to a dispute with the coach, leading him to step away from the national team.

Onana, who was playing for Inter Milan at the time, left the 2022 Qatar World Cup after an incident with coach Rigobert Song, who still leads the team and will provide an explanation of the incident this Tuesday.

Onana's call-up comes at a crucial moment for his national team as they face Burundi in a qualification match for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, to be held in Ivory Coast early next year.

This summer, Onana joined the 'Red Devils' as a replacement for Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea and has started in goal for the first three Premier League matches of the 'Red Devils', with a record of two wins and one loss, conceding four goals.
