Where will PSG make its Ligue 1 debut?

The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) decided this Wednesday, August 19, to change the venue following a recommendation. The measure will allow the Parc des Princes to be in optimal condition for the Parisian club’s upcoming fixtures.

As a result, PSG will play its opening match at its own opponent’s stadium in Rennes, with kickoff scheduled for 8:45 p.m. France time (2:45 p.m. ET). The change turns what was originally supposed to be a home opener in Paris into a special challenge for the team at the heart of Luis Enrique’s elite sporting project.

When will PSG return home?

The venue change also shifts the focus to what comes next. The schedule has PSG hosting AS Monaco on Matchday 3, on September 4, in a clash expected to be one of the biggest attractions of the early season.

With a squad accustomed to competing for every major trophy, PSG will look to make a strong start against Rennes and carry the status of favorites from the very first match.

The anticipation is building: first, PSG will have to overcome the challenge at Roazhon Park, before the highly anticipated clash against Monaco arrives.
