Lucas Digne returns to Paris Saint-Germain. The French club announced the return of the left-back, who has signed a three-year contract through 2029 and will wear the No. 12 shirt. The 33-year-old defender is returning to Paris after building an extensive career in France, Italy, Spain and England.

RETURNS TO LIGUE 1 AFTER WINNING MULTIPLE TITLES
Digne came through the Lille academy, making his professional Ligue 1 debut at just 18 years old. In the summer of 2013, he joined PSG and spent two seasons with the club, making 44 appearances and providing five assists. With the Parisian side, he won two Ligue 1 titles, one Coupe de France, two Coupe de la Ligue titles and three Trophée des Champions trophies.
The French defender then moved to Roma, where he made 42 appearances, scoring three goals and providing four assists. His performances earned him a move to Barcelona, where he played 46 matches, scored two goals and recorded three assists. During his time in Spain, he also won LaLiga, two Copa del Rey titles and one Spanish Super Cup.
A SEASONED VETERAN
After his spell in Spanish soccer, Digne established himself in the Premier League. With Everton, he made 127 appearances, scored six goals and registered 20 assists. In January 2022, he joined Aston Villa, where he became one of the key figures in Unai Emery’s squad.
During his time with the Villans, the left-back made 182 appearances, scored four goals and provided 24 assists, while also helping the club win the UEFA Europa League in 2026.
At international level, Digne has earned 64 caps for France. He was a FIFA U-20 World Cup champion and won the UEFA Nations League in 2021. He also featured at the 2014 and 2026 FIFA World Cups, as well as UEFA Euro 2016.
Overall, PSG’s new signing arrives with 503 club appearances, 18 goals and 59 assists, along with 57 appearances in European competitions. His return brings a player with experience, international pedigree and a deep understanding of the club, qualities he will look to contribute once again to the Parisian side.
