At 16, He Becomes the Youngest Starter for PSG
Parisian Ibrahim Mbaye, who will take over Kylian Mbappé's spot before his move to Real Madrid, became the youngest player to start for Paris Saint-Germain during their visit to Le Havre in the opening match of Ligue 1.
At 16 years, six months, and 23 days old, Mbaye is now the youngest in the history of the Parisian club. The youth academy product, born and raised in Paris, had previously played in two friendly matches but not in an official game.
The forward, who made his official debut with PSG’s first team, played up front alongside Portuguese Gonçalo Ramos and Spanish Marco Asensio.
Additionally, one of the new signings for this season, Ecuadorian defender Willan Pacho, also made his debut and left a strong impression in this match, which marks the start of a new Ligue 1 season where PSG will aim to reclaim the championship.
