A legend would become the owner
John Terry, historic captain of Chelsea and the English national team, is about to take a new step in his football-related career. After retiring in the 2017/18 season with Aston Villa and working as Dean Smith's assistant until 2021, in addition to collaborating with Chelsea's academy, he is now preparing to become a club owner.
According to The Sun, Terry is part of a consortium negotiating the purchase of Colchester United, a team in the English League Two, for around 16 million euros. The deal could be finalized in the coming weeks and has a family component: his nephew Frankie Terry is part of the club's roster, which reinforces the sense of the investment.
