Laporta Stated That Barcelona Will Win Laliga After the Defeat Against Girona.

After the defeat, Laporta spoke

The former president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, stated this Tuesday that, despite the recent defeat against Girona in Montilivi (1-2), he is "more certain than ever" that the bluegrana team will win the League, although they will have to do it "against everything and everyone."

"I know Hansi Flick (the coach) and Deco (Anderson Luis de Souza, the sports director), and I know the atmosphere in the locker room and the personality of our players, and I am sure we will win LaLiga; absolutely sure," he stated at the inauguration of his electoral headquarters.

"Against everything and everyone"

The now pre-candidate for the presidency of Barça has pointed out that "every great team has a bad moment," but in the case of the Catalan team, when that happens, "there are some who take advantage."

"It will be a League against everything and everyone, because there are those who don't want us to win it." Not only from a sporting point of view, which would have a certain logic, but also in the off-court sphere, it is an obvious fact that there are certain circles of power that do not want us to win it," he warned.

His comment about the refereeing

In this regard, he referred to refereeing decisions such as the one this Monday in Montilivi, where Soto Grado did not call a foul on Jules Kounde in the play that led to the goal, giving victory to Girona.

"We don't know the reasons why the referees don't do what they should do; it's not understandable now that there is so much technological support." Sometimes it is used and sometimes it is not, and the criteria generally harm Barça. "But we are already counting on that, because it has historically been this way," Laporta reflected.
