Lamine Yamal Wants It All: League, Champions League, World Cup and Ballon d'Or
At just 18, Lamine Yamal isn’t competing with players anymore — he’s competing with history. And his ambition is as big as the Barça he wants to lead.
A new award for an 18-year-old superstar
Lamine Yamal received the Di Stéfano Award from MARCA as the best player of the season — beating heavyweights like Mbappé, Vinicius, Pedri and Raphinha. At just 18, he’s building an individual trophy collection worthy of a veteran.
“Individual awards show it’s been a great season for the team. It makes me proud and very happy. Winning these trophies at my age is something very positive,” he said. “I’ll keep working and fighting for more.”
The Camp Nou return, a massive boost
The Barcelona starlet is especially excited about returning to a rebuilt Spotify Camp Nou. For him, it feels like signing a world-class reinforcement.
“The fans matter a lot. Montjuïc was fine, but it wasn’t what we wanted. Camp Nou will be a huge boost for all of us and will help a lot for the remainder of the season,” he explained.
In a season where Barça seeks stability and identity, the stadium’s return could elevate Lamine even more.
An ambition with no limits
If something defines Lamine Yamal, beyond his talent, it’s his boundless ambition. Just days ago he admitted he didn’t dream of winning a Ballon d’Or — but several.
And now he’s aiming even higher.
“League, Champions League, World Cup or Ballon d'Or? I want it all,” he said without hesitation. “I hope I can win everything. As long as we can play, it’s possible to do it.”
The year 2026 will test him everywhere: with Barcelona, with Spain and in the race for individual awards. And he’s convinced he can manage it all.
The year Lamine aims to conquer everything
The teenager knows this could be a defining year: becoming a leader at Barça, shining with the national team and entering the real Ballon d'Or conversation.
If he wants everything, it’s because he believes — and is starting to make others believe — that everything is possible.
