Dani Olmo joins Barcelona. Barca announced on Friday the signing of Spanish international Dani Olmo for the next six years.
The official announcement came this Friday: Dani Olmo is now a FC Barcelona player for the next six seasons.
The Spanish international visited the club’s offices on Friday morning to finalize his contract, which will keep him at the Camp Nou until 2030.
Olmo took time to sign autographs for fans outside and expressed his happiness about this new chapter in his career.
His contract includes a release clause of €500 million (approximately $546 million).
Returning Home
Dani Olmo's move is a homecoming. He joined La Masia in 2007 from Espanyol and spent seven seasons in Barcelona’s youth ranks before moving to Croatian football with Dinamo Zagreb.
There, he continued to develop as a player, showcasing his exceptional quality, and in 2020, he made the leap to the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.
His growth continued in Germany, where he helped RB Leipzig win two German Cups and one Supercup.
