LaLiga Denounces Barcelona and Halts All its Signings
LaLiga has reported accounting irregularities in the sale of the VIP Boxes at the Camp Nou for 100 million euros, which were used to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor
When it seemed like calm had returned to the financial accounts of FC Barcelona... once again, controversy has erupted. This time, LaLiga has reported accounting irregularities in the sale of the VIP Boxes at the Camp Nou for 100 million euros, which, among other things, were used to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor despite opposition from the competition.

Why has LaLiga denounced Barcelona?
The beginning of this whole story dates back to December 31. The deadline by which Barcelona had to present the income from the sale of those boxes at the Camp Nou in order to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. This condition, initially, was not met according to what LaLiga understood... although later, the Consejo Superior de Deportes sided with Barcelona just before the Supercopa de España match in January.
However, Crowne Global, the new auditor for Barcelona, has contradicted the previous auditor's version, which had validated this operation. Mainly because it believes that, since the Camp Nou is still under construction, the transaction that resulted in the sale of 475 VIP Boxes for 100 million euros should not have been recorded as income for the 2024 financial year.
Barcelona will not be able to carry out operations
With that income, Barcelona was able to recover its usual salary cap after many years of LaLiga imposing numerous restrictions on them. Thanks to this, in addition to the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, Barcelona has been able to carry out several key contract renewals in recent months, such as those of Pedri, Gavi, and Ronald Araujo.
However, LaLiga has immediately informed Barcelona that those 100 million euros will be automatically deducted from their current salary cap. This situation will return Barcelona to a state of financial imbalance that will logically halt all the operations they had planned for the coming months to strengthen their squad for next season.
