During an interview on the 1PARA1 podcast with the well-known journalist Pedro Pinto. The new FC Barcelona player opened up about his time in the City of Barcelona, from the teammates who've impressed him most to how being in Barcelona today is like a dream come true.
"The biggest impact I've had here in terms of quality has been from Frenkie de Jong. If you trained with him or saw him train, you'd notice he's got some serious skills," mentioned the Portuguese player, highlighting de Jong as the highest quality player in Barcelona's current squad.
After sealing the deal with Barcelona, the Portuguese expressed pure happiness, being a huge fan of the club during its golden era in 2009, which helped him quickly connect with the club's DNA.
"It's been a breeze adapting, partly because I really like the club and its dynamics. Adapting has been a walk in the park," the Portuguese player stated about working with Xavi.
Cancelo also shared his experience arriving alongside a fellow countryman who shared the same dream. Talking about his compatriot's talent, he added, "He's pure talent. Portugal has loads of talent, but I reckon Joao Félix is one who can genuinely make a difference."
