Barcelona Completes Dani Olmo Transfer!
The meeting between Deco and RB Leipzig on Tuesday was crucial in securing the agreement. Dani Olmo will be joining Barcelona.
Barcelona worked quickly to finalize Dani Olmo’s transfer, and on Tuesday, after resuming negotiations with RB Leipzig, a deal was reached between the clubs.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Barcelona and RB Leipzig reached a verbal agreement for the Spanish international.
The German club accepted an offer of $60 million fixed plus $7.6 million in performance-based variables, most of which are challenging to achieve.
Dani Olmo also agreed to a six-season contract with Barcelona, running through 2030.
Key to the deal was Deco, Barcelona's sporting director. The operation accelerated on Tuesday with several meetings in Leipzig. Deco first met with Dani Olmo, his father, and his agent, as reported by Gerard Romero’s Jijantes channel.
In a video from the channel, Deco is seen leaving a meeting with Olmo and his representatives. Following this, Deco met with RB Leipzig’s leadership to finalize the transfer.
