Barcelona Registers Dani Olmo in La Liga
Barcelona has finally registered their marquee signing in LaLiga, allowing him to make his debut this Tuesday against Rayo Vallecano.
Barcelona has finally registered Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo in LaLiga, making him available for coach Hansi Flick for Tuesday's match against Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio de Vallecas.
The Spanish international, Barcelona’s marquee signing of the summer, missed the first two matches of the season against Valencia and Athletic Club due to financial fair play restrictions.
To reduce their wage bill and improve their financial situation, Barcelona recently announced the transfers of Ilkay Gündogan to Manchester City and B-team defender Mikayil Faye to Rennes, along with the loan deals of Clément Lenglet to Atlético Madrid and Vitor Roque to Real Betis.
The registration also follows LaLiga's approval of a long-term injury designation for Andreas Christensen after he suffered an Achilles tendinopathy in his left foot during training before the Athletic Bilbao match.
Olmo, a 26-year-old La Masia product, previously played for Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia and RB Leipzig in Germany before returning to Barcelona this summer as a European champion, having played a key role for Spain in the UEFA European Championship in Germany.
