Panama possible lineup vs England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup
La Marea Roja, already eliminated, look to end their group stage campaign with pride against a World Cup champion.
Already eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup after their opening two matches in Toronto, Panama are looking to finish with pride, but face a tough final test against England in Group L.
This is the XI expected from head coach Thomas Christiansen at East Rutherford, as they try to spoil England’s plans and avoid finishing without a point.
A LINE-UP FACING HISTORY
In a 5-4-1 setup, Orlando Mosquera would start in goal, protected by Jiovany Ramos, Jose Cordoba, Andres Andrade, Amir Murillo and Cesar Blackman in a defensive block designed to contain England’s star-studded attack led by Harry Kane.
Christian Martinez, Carlos Harvey, Yoel Barcenas and Jose Luis Rodriguez would operate in midfield, with Jose Fajardo leading the attack on the counter.
Fajardo replaces Cecilio Waterman, who struggled to make an impact in previous matches and is expected to return to the bench.
A major absence remains Adalberto Carrasquilla, ruled out of the tournament due to an adductor injury.
A win for Panama would be historic—potentially their first-ever points and victory in a World Cup, and a shock result against one of the tournament favourites.
