Pablo Armero, the Colombian defender currently playing for Udinese, was arrested Tuesday while on vacation in Miami for allegedly assaulting his partner.
Armero was charged with domestic violence following an incident on Miami Beach in which the Colombian reportedly hit the mother of his two children and cut locks of her hair off after she refused to get intimate with him.
The former Colombian national team player – who was not called up for the Copa America Centenario starting on Friday – was in Miami on vacation.
Police say that he claimed to have cut his partner’s hair at her request, an assertion she categorically denies.
