Endrick Calls for Support from All Brazilians
"Unfortunately, it didn't happen this time," expressed a heartbroken Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa, the new jewel of Brazilian football that Real Madrid has acquired, who could do nothing to prevent Brazil's elimination from the Copa América in the United States.
"I am sad. It's a feeling shared not just by us, but by all Brazilians, as it is difficult to be eliminated, especially in a penalty shootout," declared the forward trained at Palmeiras, who will turn 18 on July 21.
"We want to bring Brazil back to the top of football, but unfortunately, we couldn't do it this time," he expressed at the end of the Quarter-Final match that Uruguay won 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw in regulation time.
Endrick promised that he and his teammates will continue working to improve their form ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which will resume in September.
"I hope we have the support of all Brazilians. I know it's very difficult to talk about it now, but the support of everyone will be essential," he emphasized.
